Future Tech, Future Threat, Future Ready
The NCSC is busy curating the 2024 programme, which will include a series of keynote speeches, panel discussions, stream sessions, workshops, and technical masterclasses.
From 13 - 15 May in Birmingham, international leaders and technical experts will deliver content that addresses the most pressing challenges and compelling opportunities in cyber security.
Join the NCSC's dedicated mailing list today to be among the first to receive CYBERUK 2024 programme updates.
Future Tech,
Future Threat,
Future Ready
Future technology represents significant opportunity – from employing AI in pioneering healthcare research, to using quantum computers to solve problems like climate change and food security.
To harness the benefits, the cyber security sector must ensure that these new and developing technologies are secure by design and, where vulnerabilities do exist, we need to secure them quickly.
Yet the rapid, unpredictable development of technology gives equal opportunity to our adversaries. We need to understand how those who seek to do us harm will take advantage of new developments, and we need to ensure our ecosystem is resilient against these evolving threats.
CYBERUK 2024 will explore how we react and respond to rapidly developing technology, quickly
Asking questions like:
- How can we ensure that future technologies are built with security at their core, rather than as a last-minute add-on?
- How do we anticipate the threat picture will change as new technologies like AI develop?
- How can we ensure that our critical infrastructure and systems are resilient, not just to the threats we face today, but to those we will face in the future?
- How can we build a cyber security ecosystem that can manage the threats and opportunities of the future?
And what will our counterparts in the future say to us if we don’t act now?
Content streams
Stream A: Future Tech
How do we ensure future technologies - such as AI and quantum computing - are secure by design, not as an afterthought?
Stream B: Future Threat
How do we anticipate the threat landscape will change as new technologies develop? How do we identify and mitigate these evolving threats effectively?
Stream C: Future Ready
How do we ensure critical infrastructure and systems are resilient? How can we build an ecosystem that manages future threats and opportunities?
Beyond the programme
On 13 - 15 May, the ICC Birmingham will be a thriving hub of CYBERUK activity.
Over a dozen hours of dedicated networking events will take place, including evening drinks receptions and high-level networking breakfasts.
In the popular Cyber Games, technical professionals will compete to capture the flag.
In Cyber Den, emerging cyber security businesses will present their innovations to a panel of expert judges, with the winners announced on the main stage.
CYBERUK will also open its doors to local school children from the West Midlands, as an opportunity to learn more about online safety and future careers in cyber security.
"Really enjoyed the event - was absolutely superb, so professional and energising!"
